in the men's physique category, the athletes should be slender, vigorous, and muscular, but should not have as much muscle mass or be as defined as those in the Bodybuilder category.

Board Shorts: competition attire should be conventional “surf shorts” with inseams not
shorter than 15 cm and no longer than 28 cm.
The top of the shorts should be no longer down a 7.5 cm below the bellybutton. The legs of the shorts to be appropriate to highlight the athlete's physique.

The judges are looking for:

– Nicely shaped and balanced musculature 

– A narrow waist

– Good V-shape

– Defined abdominal muscles

– A hand placed on the hip in all kvartvendinger to distinguish from Bodybuilding

– No Bodybuilder-poseringer is allowed

Men's physique class is height based and divided according to the number of athletes, which keeps it competitive, But fair.

By few performers are the high and low class (the + 174 cm)
By several practitioners shared classes, so:
Low: – 170 cm
Medium: 170-178 cm
High: +178 cm

Main judge determines the classes.

Tan, Hairstyle, choice of shorts, posturing, the stage and the general aesthetic appearance to be taken into consideration when judges are looking for the best totalpakken.

Competitors are judged in two (2) rounds:

Round 1

Symmetry and definition

Round 2

– Overall stage performance. The tie will be settled in round 2.

 

Sidepose is NOT optional in Norway, the weight should rest on the leg towards the judges! we want everyone to have the same stands for easier comparing.
